I’d never want one with a phone app. It had better be usable without one

My e-bike has a phone app, and it’s great. Of course it works without the app, but it’s super useful to be able to plan a ride from the comfort of my couch and send it to my bike instead of entering it on the bike’s screen. Especially if it’s a route with multiple waypoints.

It is a sad situation, but those of use who still know how to actually code are going to make bank.

UPNP is a security nightmare, better to never enable it at all or if you must only for those networks where you need it.

Not sure why buying groceries on a bike would be annoying or impossible. I do all my grocery shopping by bike, every single day, sometimes twice a day. Just bring a backpack.

As for ‘anything of size’, what would you need to transport? I still have a car, but I use it so little that I only need to buy gas maybe once or twice a year.
