At this point we should just swing to 10 gbps sfp+ ports, it’s faster, it’s lower latency, it’s upgradable to 100gbps, it travels over fiber, but most importantly, it is a network protocol and we can use it for our Internet.
Um, we solved this problem years ago, we charge industry for dirty power produced and that incentivizes the industries to install power line filters and capacitors and if they don’t we use the extra they are paying to clean it up. They might not be having to pay for dirty power since its commercial not industrial but all that requires is forcing them to be in industrial zones or changing the electrical price structure, this is a solved issue
What an incredibly PC word for BLOOD DIAMONDS! I’m sure the world will be a much safer place downplaying that or if you prefer BLOOD MINERALS. But conflict minerals doesn’t exactly sound as hostile as it should.

I always have issues with dns blocking so I tried something sneaky I redirected all DNS requests to 1.1.1.1/1.0.0.1 and it worked brilliantly, for about a month when it stopped working all together, I don’t know if a cache was wiped or google saw what I was doing and made a special exception just for me, obviously I want to believe I’m a special snowflake taking the world’s largest internet company head on in an epic battle of wits and skill but I think the cache thing might be more likely for some reason.

I feel Microsoft is in for a huge surprise when they end support for all versions of Windows except one that requires you to throw out your old hardware. At the same time, Linux is better than it’s ever been and is almost, if not just as easy to use as Windows. Not to mention, most work is done from a browser these days.
