It seems like every other captcha I get has a picture of a moped and asks to click for a motorcycle. When I don’t click on the moped it says I’m wrong. Pisses me off.
I can’t remember the last time I bought a PC. I just incrementally upgrade over the years. I would be disappointed if they came out with a PC that only ran with their flavor though.
16 hour shifts are bullshit. 12 hour shifts are bullshit. I did those hours when I was in my 20s, but I don’t think I got anything out of it but resentment towards society. I certainly couldn’t pull those hours when I got older, and add a family on top of it. Jesus. It’s not like firefighters who work crazy shifts, but sleep and work out for a majority of their “shift”.
Anyone who wasn’t around then can’t really know what they missed.
That was my thought as well. I’m also thinking it might be a challenge to get something to read them in 100 years.
My grandmother ran Linux for a couple decades until her death at 101 years old. My 80+ year old mom has been running Linux for at least 2 decades. Yes, I’m tech support, but I don’t really have to do anything. It just works.
I’ve decided to just ignore battery hype and tune back in when it’s time to swap out my house battery in 5-10 years. Hopefully some of the vaporware will have actually materialized in the market by that time.
I’m happy for a new streetcar line that is almost done in my area. My happiness is pretty pathetic and sad.
I recently read Kernighan’s UNIX: A History and Memoir. It was pretty interesting. Also, Bell Labs still hosts a page with a lot of links/info for Richie at: https://www.bell-labs.com/usr/dmr/www/
There’s this: https://github.com/lextrack/Simple-Screen-Recorder
Disclaimer: I haven’t touched Windows in at least a decade.
I tried FreeBSD for several months about 15-20 years ago. I really liked how clean the filesystem and environment felt, and have suggested it for many people over the years. In the end I couldn’t get around their license vs GPL.
This is what most of the schools around my area installed a couple years ago:
I edited my config, and it changed the font size next time I opened kitty. I’m not sure what is happening to you, other than maybe having the config file not where it’s expected.
Did you remove the #
at the start of the font_size
setting?
I’m sure you’ve seen it many times, but I love Bill Hick’s take on marketing.
I guess when/if I buy another car, I’ll look into gov’t fleet auctions.
Remember when gov’t banned Furbies (sp?) in some places? Seems like they would make the same decision for a lot of people in important positions regarding their car purchasing.
I’m going to go with you being crazy. Although based on your mention of “deja vu” and the number “4”, I did see djview4. I don’t think that’s what you wanted though.
