A résumé-generating event for sure.

The difference is OP probably got their device with Windows already installed and they only needed to go through the setup steps. Setting up the installation media really is the biggest barrier of entry to linux right now. A lot of distros are so easy to set up with a step-by-step gui installer, but a lot of non technical users don’t have the knowledge, skill, or motivation to download an iso and create a bootable drive.
Amazing! I’ve been using SinkIt For Reddit for a while. It’s great to have an actual app again. Thank you for this!
My org has a follow-the-sun rule and avoids having people work on weekends. It helps that it’s a global team, so there’s only around maybe 18-20 hours in the middle of the weekend where it’s not a Monday or Friday somewhere in the world.
Circling back. It looks like they did something this week and the filter no longer works. Any chance you know of a new filter?
They scored big with the M-series macbook being a little thicker and having an hdmi port, and now they want to go back?
It kinda depends where. GDPR in the EU is certainly an example of governments imposing their will on corporations. In the US, not so much, as corporations dump tons of money on lobbying that allow to them influence how they are regulated.
This was the worst. I was happy to see a compact EV SUV I can actually afford, and I’m all for big screens; but to remove the instrument cluster/gauge and put THAT on the infotainment screen as well is so dumb.
He should re-brand as a “consultant” and charge double that.
Similar to my case. My manager is based in Europe, and he basically said that to him, I’m a remote employee whether I wfh or go to the office, so it doesn’t matter. And even for other team members in the same location as him, he doesn’t force them to come in.
Our director (my boss’ boss) moved out of the US so it doesn’t make sense for him to ask us to come in when he himself is remote. And he also told us that he doesn’t care where we work from.
We’re lucky our bosses aren’t old heads with outdated work principles. Barring any explicit orders from the very top, I expect to keep the status quo. And even then, I’m sure at least up to our VP will defy those orders.
Yeah, after-sales support would be my main concern as well. How support, maintenance, repairs, and warranty claims work.
I was too, until I found out they completely removed the driver instrument cluster, so even the speedometer is on the infotainment screen. I’m all for large screens, but the speedo and other necessary gauges should still be in front of the driver or on a HUD.
Alexandrite is the best web front-end for me because of the 2-column view.
I don’t think decline, rather normalizing.
Nice! I currently have a couple of services on MS Authenticator that I can migrate over.
Heavy users will definitely complain for the first couple of weeks, then they’ll just move on to the next platform.
I wish it also showed the speed limit of the road you’re on even if you’re not actively navigating.
It’s a never ending game of cat and mouse. I’m sure uBO will fix it shortly.
I love their transparency.
