I like a joke. That’s why I’m so fond of your understanding of firewalls.

Nobody was talking about Windows Firewall. You are clearly in the “fake it” phase of “fake it till you make it”. Otherwise you’d post your magical custom outgoing NAT rules.

Your initial comment implied that the default firewall rules of blocking all inbound connections was sufficient. Since you’re the one who’s making big claims I was hoping you would enlighten us with those firewall rules of yours.

Many attack vectors happen over your outbound connections. How would a router protect you against those?

One way of helping would be to tell people how to mitigate it. Telling them it’s impossible does the exact opposite.

They say it here, but I disagree. Fingerprinting is difficult to prevent but not impossible. Same thing as with malware: You’ll never be 100% protected from malware, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take precautions against it, does it?
