I started using Ubuntu because of Radio Astronomy stuff.
AI just requires a level oftrust all of these companies have not earned.
Thank you for clarifying that.
Perhaps. In my distro of choice (popOS) the flatpak is a bit ahead of the repo version. I feel that having the bug fixes and only being able to interact with keepass via the sandbox would limit the attacks. I am not an expert on security, so i would like to hear where my current ideas fail.
I got my start with Ubuntu and feel its still quite solid. Many say that Mint is a better Ubuntu than Ubuntu these days. Personally running popOS as I have their hardware.
If you feel comfortable swapping out the drives on your computer that would be the easiest way. You can buy a cheap ssd to install linux on it. If you really hate it you can just switch back to the windows drive. This also helps you avoid dual booting.
Very true. Thanks for your answers!
Good point, but seems like a non starter from many opinions on Linux forums.

That explains the pain I was having with 650M.
I was a physics student and going to have to say Ubuntu as well. I think looking at Mint and Pop are also nice picks. Besides Ubuntu being pretty good OOTB most online resources use it as an example; that is very valuable when still astudentt.
Thanks for the elaborate eli5
