Otherwise on Fedora, brush up on RPM Fusion.
Because patent encumbrance is fun.
I cooked food for 20 years. Now I build computers and dive down Linux 🐇 🕳️ on a personal learning journey.
Mostly, I cat sit and watch anime when not gaming or editing files.
Fibromyalgia sucks! Existence is pain and resistance is futile. Thanks for noticing me.

I feel like our state Registry of Motor Vehicles sell our data too.
CLIphobia is a new one to me.
I have a Brother HL-L2395DW
Tho when I went to add it as a printer, my system automatically selected the “reccomended” drivers on Plasma 6+.
I remember on older Plasma, that you still had to select Brother
first, then search for model type.
At that next screen or if I edit my current printer, I searched for L23
:
By generic printer driver, I meant the cups/driverless one on this selection screen. Opposed to any official Brother
or GutenPrint
drivers/ppd files.
I did try searching for your exact model, but nothing showed for me…tho I can’t tell if that’s because mine is already wireless/UPnP and grabbing only it’s settings.
I’m using the Brother HL-L2395DW series, driverless, 2.0.0
I Just have to also make sure duplex printing is set to on, both system and firefox/application whatever settings.
On Firefox I use Flip on long edge
.
Have you tried using the driverless cups driver tho?
You can type switcheroo list
in terminal and find out.
Tho this would mean it wasn’t related to iGPU switching issue.
Here’s to Plasma 6.1 hopefully fixing more display issues for people with esync and 3x buffering for Wayland.
For Flatpak Steam/Lutris one can use Flatseal to easily add drive locations/access as much or little as you want to tweak.
Issues because of having an iGPU?
Switcheroo is patched on Bazzite.
switcherooctl
to make sure Flatpaks etc are using the correct dedicated GPU and not trying to use iGPUs.
Tho an update was on the 18th that was supposed to fix some issues people were having.
(Weeks ago steam was trying to use my iGPU again on my AMD system, and that’s when I learned about switcheroo list
etc etc. sometimes Flatpak Games like B.A.R.
were trying to do the same thing. Bleh!)
You can also force .desktop
or shortcuts on KDE Plasma to run using dedicated GPUs by Right Clicking >

Or… Was this an Adaptive Sync issue…in that case try turning that off. sometimes I skim over things when replying.
Anyway, Discourse, Discord and GitHub are all good ways to get in touch/help with the community vs Lemmy/Mastodon. Sometimes I feel like an Ambassador.
Been on Bazzite myself since the F38 Beta.
I haven’t had to so much as perform a rollback even once on my AMDxAMD desktop.
In fact the upgrade from versions isn’t even a worry anymore.
I played some games, turned off my computer at the Fedora 40 launch and magically it upgraded to Bazzite 40 the next time I booted up, with 0 effort on my part.
E-waste
I was curious, so I fired up Gemini on my phone.
I would be sad if the glue didn’t withstand baking temperatures 🥹😭
I deleted my Reddit account and did my GDPR June 30th when he axed the API and sold out, but that’s just me. Everyone’s free to do what they want.
Those poor Nvidia users lol.
Somebody needs to make a “Dell Dude meme” about this.
Or if you hate yourself:

We don’t like the word immutable. It can confuse people.
Or keep using windows and traditional Linux distros/installs and keep complaining >.>
“BTW I wrote 90% of it on my beanbag on my steam deck.” -me
Edit:
If I came off as know it all computer nerd/ abrasive I apologize.
I’m just really excited by the project.
It exists entirely to end major pain points people are/were suffering from Linux distros. And to prove how easily it is to distribute images and build them utilizing the cloud.
I feel it’s utterly ironic to down vote, as it’s litterly a solution approach to the entirewasting time fixing my computer issue of the OP post. 😲😔😅
Legitimately etc of the study aside.
Is it a kernel 6.10 bug?
