OTTAWA — OTTAWA - The Bank of Canada raised its policy interest rate by 25 basis points to 2.5 per cent. It’s the first hike since July 2023. The central bank wants to control inflation by reducing the risk that high fuel prices could spill over and seep into the overall economy.

Gotta keep trying then. In hopes it might eventually reach the machine.

I find it very difficult to just admit defeat and do absolutely nothing.

You’re not doing nothing, though. You’re making your own life better, which is the only thing you can control. Otherwise what you’re actually doing is making your arm tired for no damn good reason.

I don’t necessarily believe you. If you were you wouldnt be so ornery online as stated it’s just wasted energy. Screams of someone in a basement at a keyboard.

Me? I’m too busy raising 3 kids and protecting my family and their future to care. Control what I can and accept what I can’t. I feel the government here in Canada is in as good of hands as I could hope for.

Well, that’ll accomplish things for sure. No guarantees they’ll be things you want, but like I said… you’re gonna do what you’re gonna do. It’s a free country.
