When I visit my usual sugar shack this spring I’ll have to remember to ask if they have any in-house to try.

I feel like the coconut water trend died out like 5-10 years ago. I never see anyone drinking it anymore.

I drink at least 1L daily. It’s one of the easiest ways to get enough potassium, as most people are deficient.

coconut water is roughly half as sugary as typical soft drinks and about as sugary as milk so i would say from all the things a person could be drinking a liter per day coconut water is on the better side

I live on the west coast, where we have a ton of filipino-canadians, and they drink it like, well, like it’s water. There’s almost as many coconut water cans as bottled water bottles in public recycling bins. Every grocery stocks it.

People still drink it. It’s great for electrolytes, and better than Gator/Powerade, full of gross things.

I know, I used to work at a health food store. It was really blowing up around 2010-2015 or so, but I just don’t think it’s anywhere near as popular today.

Gatorade is garbage. Don’t know why it’s advertised as an electrolyte beverage, when the only electrolyte in it is sodium. You also need potassium, magnesium, calcium, etc.

I started drinking it more recently since most of the other drinks at the local convenience store are American but Coconut water is usually Thailand.

I’ve been drinking it more and more, just got into it in the last few years.

As I get older, hydration becomes more important.

I’ve heard maple water gives you the shits. I expect they’ll pasteurize it? Unless they’re raw tree nutzos.

Nope! I’ve drank straight from the sap collecting bucket many times and not had any problems.

If it’s sold commercially though, it’d need some sort of treatment like pasteurisation. Sap sucker brand probably already does this
