7 days agoNah, they hate signing checks. Not that long ago, they had a push to bring views to smaller creators, and my algorithm definitely shifted to people with hundreds to thousands of subs, instead of the hundreds of thousands to millions folks.
Now they raise the payment threshold.
Result: big creators get less traffic (money) to “boost small creators”, small creators get less money because they’re too small. YouTube gets to keep more cash.
The difference being that there is (theoretically) more citizen control when it comes to governments.
That’s the biggest difference between government and corporations. Governments are (theoretically) responsible for every person that resides in their established territory. Corporations are responsible only for those they deem financially viable.
