Minister of Foreign Affairs Melanie Joly said the deaths of dozens of Palestinians waiting for an aid convoy in Gaza was “a nightmare.”
“nightmare happened”
Such passive language. How about “atrocity was committed”?
Also…
Gaza health authorities said more than 100 Palestinians were shot dead by Israeli forces. Israel challenged the death toll and said many of the victims were run over by aid trucks.
WTF? And who was driving these trucks?
It’s a lie, no one was run over by aid trucks, they we’re shot by Israeli forces.
No doubt, but what I was getting at was how shoddy the reporting clearly is there. They don’t even say if they asked for more details on this very bizarre claim.
-Hamas, of course!
(no, really, that’s actually what they claim)
Sure. Now let’s do nothing about it, Canadian style.
How about ‘genocide’ it’s ok, you can call a spade a spade
Nah the Israelis can do no wrong and if you say they are you are antisemitic.
But do you condemn Hamas?

Calling it dreaming basically. Gross. This feels like purposeful gaslighting
Blah.
Some Canadians say this is bad. Some say “but it’s just against Hamas!”
There is no more “Canada says” about anything anymore.
Canada is the state, not the people. Someone speaking on behalf of the state said this, and that is what the headline reports.
Sure, but there used to be a stronger sense of national identity. In the face of horrors or struggle. We used to condemn Nazis almost universally. We rolled up our sleeves en masse to eliminate smallpox. Streetheart was topping our radio charts!
I don’t feel like “Canada” is an entity in the way it used to be.
I think you’re mistaking Canada with Canadians.
There is no Canada, we are an economic and social extension of the USA. We think like americans, our businesses act like american entities and our politicians are pushing for more a system more like america.
